Save A Monarch organization hosts events to spread knowledge and awareness about Monarch Butterflies and ways to help with the cause of increasing their populations. Special social events include guest speakers along with health and well-being activities.

Milkweed Preservation
Help us with our annual garbage clean up and ditch flagging efforts for the preservation of milkweed along Hwy Z and Hwy 52 in Aniwa, WI.
All safety equipment will be provided. Free camping for volunteers.
Reservations are required. Free camp sites are limited. Camping at the Dells of the Eau Claire Co will be available.

Monarch Ditch Rescue
Join us in our annual Monarch Ditch Rescue*
Informational instruction, safety vests and collecting supplies will be provided. Free camping for all volunteers.
*We team up with Marathon Co Highway Dept and select certain patches of milkweed to flag in order to prevent it being mowed.
The milkweed patches between the flags are gently stripped of caterpillars and eggs that are then brought back to the butterfly gardens where they are placed in pest safe enclosures until they are ready to be released as a butterfly.
Volunteers will learn how to handle, raise and release monarchs. Healthy food and drinks will be provided to volunteers as well as proper safety equipment.

Arts & Crafts Show
Join us for a special event where we will have artist exhibits of all kinds including: Arts & crafts sales, kids art station and coloring contests.
Public will be able to stop in from 10am-5pm to view artists exhibits and optionally purchase.
Free camping for all artists. Asking for donations for public entry.

Native Plant Workshop
Hosted by Kyle Lichtenburg at Save-A-Monarch gardens
Includes an educational workshop with Kyle, a field trip to the local prairie preservation, light snacks, a native plant handbook and a take-home native plant.

Camping and Yoga Retreat
Hosted at Save-A-Monarch Camp
Join us for formal Yoga sessions with qualified instructor Erika King on Saturday with an optional overnight stay at the Save-A-Monarch gardens in the beautiful north woods and a shuttled Kayak trip down the Eau Claire River on Sunday.

Butterfly Fest
Join us at Camp Vic to Rae's Butterfly Festival and support the conservation of our beloved Monarch Butterfly and the endangered Karner Blue Butterfly. Save A Monarch will provide free milkweed seeds and educational materials.
Waupaca park and rec will also have vendors and activities for children. Let's come together to ensure the continuation of pollinator gardens in the multiple parks!

Camping and Yoga Retreat
Hosted at Camp, this event includes 3 formal Yoga sessions with qualified instructor Erika King on Saturday, an overnight stay in the beautiful north woods, then a relaxing Kayak trip down the Eau Claire River on Sunday.
The first session will be a Yoga session starting at 9am, The second session will focus on meditation at 12pm, and the third will be another Yoga session 6pm. Each session is $15/person or $35/person for all three sessions. Drinks will be provided but please plan on bringing your own food and snacks.

Native Plant Workshop
Hosted by Kyle Lichtenburg at SaveAMonarch gardens, this event includes an educational workshop where Kyle will go over Wisonsin native plants and the importance of them within the ecosystem. Participants will receive a Wisconsin wild flower handbook for reference and a native wild flower to bring home.
$30/person also includes healthy snacks and drinks.
